Where work once took place, there is now a vibrant meeting point for art enthusiasts, urban dwellers, and curious newcomers alike. The café-bar is an integral part of FOR ART’s overall atmospheric concept—an open place of encounter between exhibition and everyday life, between past and present.
From 10 a.m. (Tue–Sun): coffee and croissants, simple dishes at midday, sweets in the afternoon, and apéro in the evening. A quiet retreat with a side courtyard under the open sky to breathe, relax, and linger—a hidden refuge in the heart of the city.
FOR ART sees itself as a platform for art, collaborations, and spontaneous interventions. The café-bar is more than just hospitality: it is a social space, a meeting place, and part of the temporary art intervention that makes the labyrinthine ensemble “Zur hohen Sonne” and “Rotberger Hof” newly accessible.
The café-bar was designed by Klaus Littmann and Franz Burkhardt, who is already represented in the FOR ART exhibition spaces with his bus station BANCA.
