In his welcoming address, Solari described the overwhelming emotional impact of his first visit to a Real Fiction Cinema in February this year. «It was one of those exquisite moments that enrich our lives», he said. «The Real Fiction Cinema project is a major boost for the Festival del film and for Locarno.»

7,988 people have visited the Real Fiction Cinemas at Largo Zorzi and Porto Regionale in Locarno and on the Piazza Torre in Ascona during the first five days. In comparative terms, that is already more people than visited the Real Fiction Cinemas in one month while they were in Zurich.
