Littmann Klaus (GE)

The Project

Traditionally, watermarking is the name given to the signet that allows a valuable paper to be attributed to the person who commissioned it or to the paper mill that produced it. It is not visible at first glance, but the information is embedded in the writing surface and is particularly visible against the light. Basel-Stadt still has to reckon with inconspicuously appearing messages on its ground promptly: Littmann’s intimate artistic practice has reserves. She comes up with messages that insist on reason and foresight at the knee of the Rhine, which also means: on a future with water.
