Conversation with Andres Müry: Insights into the “Other World” of Peter Wirz

As part of the exhibition “Wirziana – the Other World of Peter Wirz,” journalist and biographer Andres Müry speaks about the life and work of his uncle. An evening about art, memory, and the search for freedom – no registration required, free admission.

On Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 6:00 pm, a conversation with journalist and biographer Andres Müry will take place at FOR ART Basel. The event is part of the exhibition “Wirziana – the Other World of Peter Wirz” and will be moderated by Isabel Zürcher.

No one knows Peter Wirz’s work as intimately as Andres Müry. In his book Wirziana: The Other World of Peter Wirz (Vexer Verlag, 2020), he traces the life path of his uncle, shaped by trauma. Drawing on sources from the family archive as well as patient records, he offers a compelling perspective on a body of work marked by exceptional originality and narrative power. Both this work and the life of Wirz’s father are driven by a profound urge for exploration and freedom.

No registration required, free admission

The exhibition runs until April 25, 2026, open Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am to 6 pm, as well as by appointment (info@klauslittmann.com).
