UEFA Women’s EURO 2025

“KEEP THE BALL ROLLING”

To mark the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 in Switzerland, Basel welcomes its guests at EuroAirport in a particularly creative and sporty way: with the installation “Keep the Ball Rolling,” the baggage carousel becomes the stage for an extraordinary greeting.

Playful Welcome on the Baggage Carousel
The installation features oversized footballs that appear to roll endlessly along the carousel – a visual play on football language. The title “Keep the Ball Rolling” symbolizes momentum, relevance, and staying in the flow of the tournament. At the same time, it humorously evokes the image of “balls on a conveyor belt” – a sporty welcome, both literally and figuratively.

A Symbolic Link Between City, Sport, and Arrival
This staging makes one thing clear: in Basel, you haven’t just landed – you’ve landed right in the middle of football fever. The moving balls symbolically represent the connection between the city and the sporting event, between arrival and the host role. They welcome guests and make it unmistakably clear: Basel is ready for the EURO.

A Welcoming Atmosphere and Anticipation for the Tournament
With “Keep the Ball Rolling,” even the first step off the plane becomes an experience. The creative design generates a sense of anticipation and makes the excitement of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 tangible from the very start. A rolling welcome that presents Basel at its sportiest.
