FLORENCE JUNG @ FOR ART
Jung103

“A year of uninterrupted rain before the window of a building – from one summer to the next.”

With these words, artist Florence Jung describes the idea behind the project she developed for Kunsttage Basel 2025. Her works take the form of interventions that reveal existing spaces or contexts. They evoke another, simultaneous space – a story, an incident, a fate, sometimes narrative, sometimes metaphysical.

“Imagine endless rain falling over Basel. Why does the water, which once brought the city wealth and trade through the Rhine, no longer cease to fall? What has Basel done to deserve this?”
— Florence Jung
