The Project

Real Fiction Cinema is a temporary art intervention by Littmann Kulturprojekte in collaboration with artist Job Koelewijn. It is a mobile cinema featuring real-life images which can be seen at various locations throughout Switzerland.

A window resembling a cinema screen shows live views of the world that change from one location to the next. The background of well-known soundtracks from the history of film turns the supposedly familiar view into a new and unique experience based on personal memories. The screenplay and plot of the «film» are shaped according to the principle of «planned chance».

Each moment shows the world in a different way
Real Fiction Cinema knows neither linguistic nor cultural boundaries. All visitors experience Real Fiction Cinema differently depending on which impressions they connect with the location «shot», the film music and the light and weather conditions at the time. Real Fiction Cinema is a unique experience for all cinema-goers, as they see their own totally individual, personal film.
Each of the three cinemas has space for 23 people and is open to the public free of charge at specified opening times.
