The tree is the centre of the walk-in art intervention “Arena for a Tree” by Klaus Littmann in the middle of Basel’s Münsterplatz. Enzo Enea’s choice fell on the ironwood tree, the Parrotia Persica, from the witch hazel family.
We visited him in his tree museum in Rapperswil and wanted to know why he chose this tree.
